Most Favorable Bets in Craps

Craps Bets

When craps first appeared at the beginning of the 12th century, it was played only by kings and their chivalry and there were only four craps bets available for the players. Now, craps is played by everyone all over the word in land based or online casinos but the rules changed making the game more demanding. The original craps bets available were Pass/Don't Pass Line Bets, Come/Don't Come Bets and they still remained until this day but we have now fifteen additional bets for craps.

In the 18 century people began to be more and more attracted towards gambling and craps became a popular game among them. Than it was when casinos changed the old craps form and started to add more options for bets in craps. I imagine that you understand their reason for doing so and you do not believe that casinos added these bets in craps to favor in any way the player. Even today indeed you can try these new bets in craps and win also, but still the old four bets in craps are the ones who pay best.

These additional craps bets only made the game more difficult to understand than actually changing something real in his style of playing. Craps is a table game based on luck having a pair of dice as the main element in which player’s objective is to predict the number combination of the dice he rolls.

Always remember that the most favorable bets in craps for the player are the Pass/Don't Pass, Come/Don't Come bets. If your bankroll is not limited to small sums I would also advise you to make maximum odds bets as in most cases it is an odds bet that brings players good money.

Pass Line craps bets bring you wins in case your dice shows 7 or 11 and declares loses in case of rolls of 2, 3 or 12. In case your dice show any other totals, these numbers become your point and this is when you can pick an odds bet.

Don’t pass line craps bets – as even the name implies it – are the opposite of pass line bets in craps. Lose if you hit a 7 or 11, win if you hit 2, 3 or 12 and in case of establishing a point the odds bets are also available.

Come bets in craps bring a win if the roll is a 7 or 11, a lose if the roll is a 2, 3 or 12.
Don’t come bets, the opposite of course- win if 3 or 12 is rolled and lose if 7 or 11 is rolled.

The difference that stands between pass/don’t pass and come/don’t come craps bets is that there is the option for a pass bet before the dice are thrown and come bets can be made at any moment of the game.

In conclusion, all I am really trying to explain in this article is that for better chances in winning in craps those four bets explained above should be your only choice. Main differences among the four games are not, however, the pass/don’t pass bets are the ones having the best statistics with the lowest house advantage.
